![]() This uniform inspired capsule couldn't have come at a better time. The capsule wardrobe is so thorough that the collaboration even offers undergarments to complete the look. There are relaxed black tees, an effortless tank top, a beautiful denim shirt, and perhaps my personal favorite of the collection-the corduroy trench coat. Aside from the staple jeans created by Gainsbourg, the rest of the collection is a reflection of what she's been living in these days. One is slimmer and will pair beautifully with boots, the other is more loose and laid back, the perfect jean to summarize the past year (and some change) that we've all been experiencing. When approaching the task of designing the perfect denim in partnership with Zara, Charlotte Gainsbourg ended up with two essential silhouettes. Even though her parents had varying looks throughout the years, and Serge Gainsbourg often verged more on a uniform look than Jane Birkin, the whole family always agreed on jeans. It's not a far leap in thought to think that for Charlotte Gainsbourg, style was learned inside the home. Arguably, she began her education at birth, as her parents are the legendary style icons Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg. Charlotte Gainsbourg has long been heralded as an expert of style. ![]()
